CHIC interview
Here's an interview I did for CHIC: Lifestyle Magazine about my recent work for Fright Night and the Kelham Island pumps I've been doing. Thanks a million to Charlotte for making this happen and doing such a nice job of it for me!!!
ps. Sadly I have no connection to the pornographic actress Linda Lovelace.

Radar Men From The Moon
The October 2013 Kelham special hits the pumps this month with this sequel to the fast selling Rocket Man beer label I worked on last year. Again this was inspired by the 1940s serial and next year will see a third pump in the Rocket Man series.
For an A4 signed print of this and the last design combined go to my shop here.
It's been the most mental few weeks of my life which saw the welcome arrival of our lovely daughter Róisín Nellie Connolly. I could use a few pints of this now to be honest :)
Hats off to my beautiful wife Melissa x

Meadowhall Parklife Show
I spent most of last week at Meadowhall's Park Lane for their Parklife event. For the first 2 days I was doing a pop-up show and for the remaining 3 I scaled the show down to do workshops with kids who fancied having a crack at some comic artwork.
I went in a bit scared knowing how busy Meadowhall can get but it worked out fine being in a bustling centre with constant visitors and I met some very sound people! Here's a glimpse...
Thanks to all who dropped by, it was great to meet you, and massive thanks to the young people who had a crack at doing a drawing for the picket fence in my pretend park. Here's a selection of some of the work...
I'm knackered now but it was well worth it. It's made me want to escape the studio much more often! Thanks to Kieran for the photos, and Alex and Caroline for setting it upand putting up with me!
Thanks also to the young artist in the top photo for wanting to be in it, and his folks for the thumbs up to put it on my blog.

Mind Control
This month sees the launch of 'Mind Control', the final part of my Light vs Dark collab with The Kelham Island Brewery. I was aiming for an Xmen tone for this feisty lady. With an Abv of 6.9% she's the one I've most been looking forward to. After a couple of pints she'll be controlling your every move!
A signed A4 print of Mind Control is now available in my shop here.
Cheers to everyone who tried the beers and checked out the prints! My first beer pump artwork 'King of the Rocket Men' will be returning next month, followed by the sequel 'Radar Men From the Moon' in October.
After that I'll be back for more in 2014!

Pearl Harbour Adaption App
The Pearl Harbour comic adaption I worked on for Comics in the Classroom is available now for the small sum of 69p from the App store.
It was a real challenge as I'm not used to drawing military rooms, vehicles and uniforms etc but I really like how it turned out and feel proud of it. If you like mine then they have plenty of other historical events to choose from too. They're intended partly as a learning tool to introduce teens to historical topics.
Check it out!

I'll be at the Kelham Island Brewery on monday as part of their open day wih a table full of my wares. The print is available from both me and the brewery.
Check out the trailer now here.

Mistress Flames!
Part 4 of my 'Light vs Dark' collaberation with The Kelham Island Brewery kicks off this month with this female member of the baddies team. Mistress Flames is a strong ruby mild ale and her character is very much inspired by the villains of DC Comics. She is a fiery vamp with a jovial but evil streak. I'm really chuffed with this character design and this is my personal fave of the set (in artwork terms).
This signed print is now available from my shop.

One for the Goths!
My Light vs Dark set (a collaberation with the Kelham Island Brewery) continues this month with Gentleman Death. This dapper gothic gent is the leader of the baddies and is a nod to genius dastardly characters like Skeletor and General Zod, with a bit of Basil Fawlty thrown in.
I tasted the beer last week at the brewery and it's bloody lovely. It should be hitting the pumps very shortly so keep em peeled. You can buy a copy of this A4 print and see more info here.

The Great Pie & Peas Up
Here's a close-up of the one-off artwork I did for the St Lukes Hospice 'Great Pie & Peas Up' campaign. For a chance to win it check out the info about holding your own pie & peas party this month at their facebook page. A large framed version of this picture will go to the biggest fund-raiser. They are raising money for their new in-patient unit.
